Resumo

Contemporary organizations face economic, financial, and social challenges that require effective leadership at all hierarchical levels. Traditionally, leaders are perceived as individuals situated at the top or as holders of control over specific groups, whether in religious, associative, or corporate contexts. In this scenario, 360° leadership emerges as a relevant concept, allowing an understanding of how influence can be exercised upward, laterally, and downward within the organization, regardless of formal position. This study was conducted at Externato Fátima, in the city of Matola, Mozambique, adopting a mixed-methods approach, combining structured questionnaires with open and closed questions, semi-structured interviews, and participant observation as data collection instruments. The results indicate that 360° leaders can be identified at any organizational level operational, intermediate, or top demonstrating that any employee, with adequate development, can exercise influence, self-management, and effective leadership, confirming the applicability of Maxwell’s model in the Mozambican educational context.
